—What could we tell Samuel Adams, Jefferson, and the other signers if we had to account to them for the America they left to us? We want to proudly celebrate the greatness or our country, but we must be blind to do so. Those who gave us freedom did not allow false hopes to betray them, nor may we.
Four Americans are behind bars in a foreign jail on this 4th of July, pirated on the high seas by our “ally” Israel. But neither the Administration, nor our free press ? have even disclosed that this event has happened. To know about it we must depend on cell phone messages, Tweeter, You Tube and the European press. The latter is also intimidated but is telling a bit more because Brits, Irish and Arabs from a half-dozen countries were among those 21 kidnapped. There are a few braves souls in Parliament who do speak out for Gaza. Not so here in the US.
Two of those kidnapped were Israeli citizens protesting the starvation blockade of the Gaza Strip. The four Americans include Jewish, Adam Shapiro, who makes documentary films, and Cynthia McKinney, a black woman, talented enough to have served three terms in the United States Congress.
Make no mistake about the facts, Israel kidnapped the 21, and pirated their boat on the high seas. On Tuesday night the captain of the Spirit of Humanity, reported: “There is a patrol boat around us (there were in fact several) and we were told that if we did not turn back they would open fire,” said Derek Graham, an Irish activist. “We are continuing our course to Gaza,” he said, speaking via satellite telephone from a small ferry boat which had departed from Cyprus on Monday.
Among the activists were an Irish Nobel peace laureate and the former U.S. Congresswoman, who risked her life once before on a small boat the Israeli navy rammed and nearly sunk on the high seas..
Probably after they entered Gaza waters the Spirit of Humanity was boarded by Israeli Navy, some unarmed passengers were roughed up, and their boat commandeered and sailed into Israeli waters. There they were arrested for illegal entry into Israel. From jails they have reported they are to be deported, unless our government comes to their defense.
Why have you not heard of this? Because your government backs Israel. Do not think Israel rules America, as some wish to believe, ¦no, the tail does not wag the dog. Instead the world powers that are known as Zionism and have their roots here in the USA, rule both America and our pit bull ally, Israel.
How are you better off today than our forefathers, who revolted against the unjust rule of a foreign power, Great Briton? They rule us as surely as King George ruled America in 1776, when our forefathers revolted against him. Neither your administration, your Congress, nor your press dare tell you the truth, or even talk about the kidnapping of our citizens and the inhuman abuse of the Palestinian. Your leaders’ silence prove better than any document that world Zionism, the power that controls Israel’s successive governments, also controls our government, our press, and many of our churches!
What is left for you on this 4th of July?
Best you, like the 21 on the Spirit of Humanity boat, cast your life on the water, to live free or die as slave, risking all you have for the half-million Gaza children who can not protect themselves or feed themselves while under the present embargo. If you challenge Zionist power over them you also break its hold over you.
Was it not Jesus who said: “what greater love has any man than that he would lay down his life for a friend?” That is what our forefathers did for us, and we in our time have squandered their heritage. They were only a few, and we are many. Now it is our time.
